11-AUG-2012 - ROB QUICK TO LEAVE CAUDA PAVONIS
CAUDA PAVONIS ANNOUNCEMENT
Our bassist Rob Quick will be leaving Cauda Pavonis in August and will be seen on stage for the last time at The Gasworks in Bradford, UK on the 31st August 2012; where we will be supporting Inkubus Sukkubus. Rob joined the band in 2008 and has played with Cauda Pavonis on two studio albums and live on the last 4 tours including our much vaunted 10 Years Tour.
Rob had originally made plans to leave the band after his wedding, in September, to settle down and raise a family and was looking to stay with us until the end of 2012. However recent events in his work life mean that he ll be moving to London and he feels that such commuting would be detrimental to himself and the band. Rob will stay with us until the end of August, when he was originally taking a break for his wedding. We wish him well in everything he does in the future.
He leaves the band at a high point in our history; where we are touring with and supporting some amazing bands and having produced arguably our best album to date. We are in discussion with a stand in for the gigs until the end of 2012 and will be looking to recruit a new bass player for our 15th anniversary celebrations in 2013.
20-OCT-2011 - HERE'S TO ALL THE FORGOTTEN HEROES!!!
On October 8th 2011 CAUDA PAVONIS returned to the studio for a mammoth 10 and a half hour recording session to record a new single especially for the Forgotten Heroes Charity. This was released on October 30th in time for Armistice/Remembrance Day and ALL of the proceeds from the sale of the single went to The Forgotten Heroes. The single remained in the AMazon MP3 Top 100 for 6 and a half days and was regularly charted in the top 20 during the release week.
The Forgotten Heroes charity is dedicated to assisting our wounded or injured Servicemen and women together with their families and carers whose lives have changed dramatically in the service of their country.

01-Sep-2011 - The Journey to the Next Album starts here and now
If you know Cauda Pavonis, you'll know that we have fought tooth and nail to hang on to our own individual take on music, philosophy and image. You'll also know that in order to stick to our guns, we've financed the release of all of our material ourselves.
But times have changed and like so many other artists today we need financial support to make the next album a reality. And this is where you come in. This is your chance to be part of the next Cauda Pavonis release.
This is what PledgeMusic is about. We're joining some really respected artists here who are putting the music first and bypassing the usual record company demands for conformity.
This isn't charity. We're not just standing here with our hands out expecting you to give something for nothing. You will see that we have a number of exclusive deals available and all you need to do is choose the pledge that you want from the available goodies and once we've reached target and recorded the album we'll deliver your reward. Check out all of the options and pick the exclusive(s) that you want.
This is your chance to be part of Cauda Pavonis history. PledgeMusic is giving us the opportunity to raise funds to produce our music, our way for you. All you have to do is join in.
Thank you, in advance, for joining us in this venture. Together we can make the next album a reality without sacrificing that uncompromising edge for which we have become known.
As we've said, this isn't charity but it doesn't stop us helping one. 10% of all funds raised will be going to The Forgotten Heroes charity which is a cause pretty close to our hearts. Should we reach target that donation will go up to 20% of all funds raised.
Come and join us on the journey to the production of the next Cauda Pavonis album. Chose the exclusive of your choice and pledge away.

The first 5 people who pledge will get a very rare signed, 2003 Sigil era, A3 colour poster sent to them (this includes the first person to sign up).
The first 5 people to pledge £50 or more will get promotional copies of the 2010, Cauda Pavonis, Retrology releases Vol 1 and 2 on CDr. These were limited edition CDr's for promotional use only and there were only a handful of these ever produced.
The first person to pledge £100 or more will get (and if you thought the rest was rare) a copy of the Limited Edition Sigil, Poster Sleeve CD album (only 100 produced), signed by the band and a copy of the 2003 Sigil era A3 colour poster also signed by the band.
THE FORGOTTEN HEROES CHARITY SINGLE
This is not the only fund raising we'll be doing for the Forgotten Heroes charity. We will be returning to the studio to record a new single especially for the Forgotten Heroes Charity. This will be released in time for Armistice/Remembrance Day and ALL of the proceeds from the sale of the single will go to The Forgotten Heroes.
The Forgotten Heroes charity is dedicated to assisting our wounded or injured Servicemen and women together with their families and carers whose lives have changed dramatically in the service of their country.

19-Aug-2011 - New Release - Charity Single for The Forgotten Heroes charity
Cauda Pavonis are pleased to announce that in October of 2011 they will be going back into the studio. Not for the new album but for a special 1 day recording session. They are going to be recording a new single, the proceeds from which, will go to The Forgotten Heroes charity. The charity is dedicated to assisting our wounded or injured Servicemen and women together with their families and carers whose lives have changed dramatically in the service of their country.
The download only single will be released on Armistice Day 2011 and every time it is downloaded or streamed it will earn money for the charity. As well as the band giving up 100% of its royalties and funding the studio session at Attic Attack studios in Portland Square, Bristol; the crew at the studio are giving up their time for free to help produce the single and reduce costs. The tracks debut performance will be live at our show in Bristol with Toyah on October 27th 2011.
